Handloads.Com Forum Long Guns 300 Wby Data needed | | Author | This thread is locked. | Posted by: labsr2Date: 12/16/2003 8:01:13 PM Posts: 2 | I am trying to see if anyone has had good success finding a very accurate load for 300 weatherby mag using 165 grain Hornady BTSP Bullets? I am getting desperate for something to go about 3300-3400FPS in a 26" barrel.
I have played around with different loads from a hornady load book but still can't find the combination that works. Thanks for the help.

(Deer, paper, steel, larger game....?) szihn@wyoming.com maybe I can be of some help.

I have used a 200grn Speer for years with 78 grns of H4831, Rem case and fed. 215 primer. They shoot at 2957fps. Very accurate and shoots a long ways with stopping power. Each load hits a 100yd. target at 1/2inch groups.
